Woodflame: a green tailgate grill
It wasn’t so much the experience of sitting on steel benches in 40-degree weather that had me a little cranky that weekend as I watched my alma mater football team play for the Patriot League Championship. No, it wasn’t even watching my team lose (we Rams still grabbed the titleāand let’s face it, I’m just killing day ’til baseball season starts again).
No, no, no, it was having to go through that game munching on a cold
pretzel and swigging what the establishment thought was appropriate to
signal hot chocolate (seriously, Fordham, I’m calling you out here).
I
suddenly understood the appeal to tailgate parties and was wishing I
had the foresight to haul by one of Woodflame’s BBQ grills.
Not only are they portable and just
shish-kabob, but they are additionally an eco-friendlier option to traditional grills considering they don’t use propane or charcoal.
Instead, Woodflame has
married some contemporary technology with the old school, wood-burning
process to create a grill that runs on palm-sized chunks of hardwood
and doesn’t puff out dirty, creosote-laden smoke.
It’s additionally safer
since you’re not handling lighter fluids or trying to build a gas
connection. And the 207 square inch cooking area of the Delecto is just
the thing to get you from winter tailgates to summertime camping trips
and everything in between–like that lunchtime craving for BBQ as you
try to finish up the latest exterior home project before the snow
starts coming.
