Rust rehab for an iron rail

I don’t doubt that Ramon here knows what he’s doing.

This iron railing is properly scraped and primed, the Rust-Oleum is at the ready, and a scrap of newspaper-as-dropcloth is protecting one stair, at least.

But those drips on the side of the can–that’s a harbinger,

Ramon. Working out of the gallon is a mess waiting to happen.

Might I propose, instead, a Teflon-coated tray? Or perhaps a handy bucket screen?
